About Us

   

  It has been my life long dream to open my own restaurant to share the food and culture of my native country Albania with the residents of Concord and beyond.  I have many fond memories of cooking with my brother, Remi (pictured left with me and my niece and nephew) and our mother.  My most prized memories include my mother, Remi and I preparing and introducing new foods every week-end during my mother's only day off.  We love it so much and it has instilled in me my love of food.

 

     Although I come from a long line of successful family business owners in Albania where my grandmother owned a Hotel Restaurant, and my mother owned a leather production factory, it was necessary for me to resettle with my daughter in the US due to the civil unrest in my native country.  I left behind a thriving veterinarian practice where I practiced for over 14 years to start over in a new welcoming city and country. 

 

     After working in my brother's restaurant, Remi's Place in Concord NH and my grandmother's Hotel Restaurant in Albania, I was confident in creating my own restaurant, Gyro House, on Main Street in Concord NH.

 

     It is so fortunate that I have the loving support of my brother, Remi, and family and friends to pursue my dream.  My appreciative loyalty will be with them forever.  To contribute to the success of my restaurant, are two new employees and they are joyous to work with.

 

     My moto is to always treat customers with loyalty, gratitude, and respect.  And my goal is to have my customers share my passion for home made food.

 

     I am very proud of my grandmother, mother, brother, dad, and daughter and am dedicated to continue the legacy of hardworking, successful, loyal and respectful family heritage.
